The
methods and materials used in the works displayed
here include watercolour, found objects, fabric
stichery, torn-paper collage, coloured pencil,
ink, and embellished acid-etching. Much of the
work is light-hearted and I hope you sense the
joy that I had when I created these particular
pieces.
The
jukeboxes are only three of many representations
of this subject that I have done. Jukeboxes have
always been a source of fascination for me, their
gaudy colours, distinctive yet simple shapes,
whirling lights, and robotically picked-up records
being placed on turntables - so automatic, yet
so old-fashioned.
All
works are unframed unless noted. |
